Neural-Network Soft Baseband: From PoC to Mass Production

Moving the communication stack off dedicated silicon and onto general compute, rewriting PHY/MAC with neural networks — this is the most radical and imaginative direction of AI-Native communication. But between a working PoC and an engineering system that ships, operates and iterates across tens of millions of terminals lies an entire engineering methodology.   1. Simulate channels: use the EM twin (Lauraycs) to generate, at zero cost, massive, labeled channel data covering extreme scenarios;
  2. Train and compress: train PHY/MAC models on GPU/NPU and quantize/prune them for terminal compute;
  3. Hardware-in-the-loop validation: drive real terminals with a channel emulator for end-to-end, regressible performance validation;
  4. OTA evolution and staged rollout: versioned staged release, A/B comparison, automatic rollback on anomaly.

Terminal testing produces new data that feeds back into simulation, bringing the next model closer to reality — the two halves of one data flywheel.
